This hot chocolate is guaranteed to warm you up on a cold winter's evening. It feels like an indulgent treat but it's a lot healthier than something you'd buy in Starbucks. And the best part is that, with just four ingredients, it's incredibly quick and easy to make.
It's also possible to customise this drink to suit your needs. For example, if you're vegan just use a plant based milk and swap the honey for maple syrup.
Here's what you'll need for 1 mug of peppermint hot chocolate:
1 cup milk of your choice
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa powder)
1-2 teaspoons honey
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
Blend or whisk all the ingredients together before gently heating on the hob or in the microwave. I sometimes like to add a candy cane to the finished product for a little extra festive cheer.

DeleteI've made hot chocolates like this (tasty!), I recommend that if you are having a hard time with the chocolate powder mixing with the milk to heat the milk a bit. XO! If you are diabetic you can also use stevia instead of honey.
