Autumn flatlay with blanket, phone, coffee, leaves and pumpkins

Autumn can be one of the most fun seasons of the year. The weather is cooling down which means it's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the crisp air, and there are always lots of fall activities going on.

From pumpkin patches to haunted houses, you're sure to find plenty of things to keep yourself and your family entertained throughout the entire season.

Here are some things you should be planning right now, to ensure you have the best autumn ever.

Five Things to Plan for the Perfect Fall

1. Recipes to make
Autumn is the perfect time to enjoy ALL the comfort food, so go crazy planning some delicious fall dishes for all the family to enjoy. Some examples could be:

- Pumpkin Pie
- Squash soup
- Apple crumble
- A bit pot of chilli
- Cinnamon hot chocolate.

2. Places to go
There are usually lots of things going on this time of year. Why not visit:

- A farmer's market
- A corn maze
- A pumpkin patch
- A haunted house
- The great outdoors (go for a hike).

3. Activities to do
Even if you're staying home or can't travel far, there are still plenty of things you can do, including:

- Apple picking
- Arts and crafts
- Collecting pine cones
- Making a bird feeder
- Building a bonfire.

4. Home decor
It's always fun to decorate your house, and I think that autumn is the easiest season to decorate for. There's so much seasonal home decor available to buy.

- These throw pillow covers will add a fall vibe to your sofa
- A garland of sparkly maple leaf string lights would look great draped around your fireplace
- These hanging signs look perfect both inside and outside
- A pretty table runner would add a bit of interest to your dining room
- This pumpkin patch shower curtain will definitely brighten up your bathroom.

5. Blog and social media content
If you're a blogger, influencer or content creator, autumn is the perfect time to upload some beautiful content.

Photos of you at a pumpkin patch or running through the fallen leaves will look great on Instagram, and there are a whole host of fall-themed blog post ideas you could use. If you're taking part in Blogtober (blogging every day in October) you could write about:

- Your autumn bucket list
- Your favourite seasonal candles
- Fashionable fall outfits
- Places to visit in your area
- Fall-themed crafts for kids.
